Dedicated to a fateful event that took place 30 years ago, when on August 24, 1991, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a historic document - the Act of Independence of Ukraine. The Ukrainian people at various times fought for the right to have their own nation-state, language, and culture. And today Ukraine is an independent state on the world map. The origins of our independence are in the historical memory of the people, their traditions, spiritual and cultural heritage.
On the obverse of the coin are placed: at the top a small State Emblem of Ukraine; stylized composition - in the frame of the rays depicts a mighty oak (decoration element - local gilding), the crown of which resembles the outlines of the borders of our state, and the roots - decoratively reproduces certain stages of statehood in modern Ukrainian history - UPR, ZUNR, Ukrainian State, UPR Directory, etc .; inscriptions: UKRAINE (on the background of the tree crown), on the mirror background: 50 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia (left) and 2021 (right).
