Description:
The golden 2-hryvnia coin of Ukrainian bank was minted in 2010. The subject of the precious coin is honey bee. The insects domesticated for their honey and wax are only one little fraction of the 20 thousand of bees species living worldwide. The image of the honey bee is minted on the reverse side of the coin surrounded by the semicircular inscriptions in Ukrainian and Latin explaining the name of the specie. They are placed along the rim of the piece separated from the central part of the surface by the dotted round frame. The obverse of the piece bears the big national Coat of Arms in the center with the year of mintage above it and the legends explaining the metal rate and the weight of the piece by its sides. The border separated by the dotted round frame bears the name of the bank and the face value of the coin.
