Why a surfboard sling?     Well...... I'll tell you why.
First though a little history:
You see, when I was growing up Trestles near San Clemente was my favorite place to surf. And fortunately for me, until I was 21 I had a pass to get on Camp Pendleton Marine Base. This made it possible to park just a hop, skip and a jump from the breaks at Trestles
After turning 21 I was forced to join the hoards of other surfers trudging up and back the trail from Cristianitos Rd to Trestles. I'm not generally a hater, but I did hate having to carry my board, a 6'7" INFINITY with a heavy glass job. Eventually one arm would tire and I'd have to switch arms. It was always a hassle. And some times we'd be carrying extra things like bar-b-ques and chest full of beer and ice, so it always helped to have your hands free.
One day it dawned on me;
it didn't have to be this way that there was a solution to this seemingly intractable problem; what I needed was a surfboard-sling.
Just a simple easily adjustable sling device with few moving parts. It would have to be comfortable too, it couldn't dig into your shoulder. And it should be able to withstand being crumpled up and stuffed in a gear bag for weeks and then suddenly put into use.
We think we've covered those bases with our Trestles-walk surfboard sling.
It's made of sturdy 2 inch wide heavy duty polypropylene webbing and has a cool camo look to it. The 2 inch wide webbing is easy on the shoulders even with heavier boards. A rubber shoulder pad keeps the webbing from cupping into your shoulder.
It comes
with a

There are simple slides for cinching the loops around the board.
So, do yourself a favor and get a Sharkbaitsurfwax Trestles surfboard sling.
And did I mention they're inexpensive too? Well, they are.
You can also do a "Trestles hike" and a  "Trestles Trail" .
