Set of 8 Vintage Abalone Mother of Pearl Caviar 4" x 5" Plates w/ Spreaders

Description

Set of eight (8) polished abalone shell dishes for caviar, each with its own woven linen storage bag with button closure.  A set of 4 abalone spreader knives, about 3.75 inches long to fill out your serving buffet.
The knives/spreaders are shown against a backdrop of dark reddish teak cabinet.
The abalone are Nature's Wonders of colors and have adjusted each photo to enhance the features
that are most brilliant.  The serving side is very light cream with many varigated colors and easily
shows off some seafoam greens, while the reverse side has more golden colors, perhaps not as
dark as the photos show but still very enchanting, much like a tiger cat or tiger eye stones.  Where
one photo shows two dishes with the serving spreaders, one inner corner of left dish is showing up
quite golden when it really isn't that great a difference in color; it is reflecting other light around it.
Really a lovely set for many uses, and the bluish-gray storage bags are a definite plus for a busy storage
buffet cabinet to keep the dishes nice.
Estate of gentleman who loved caviar and wanted something to reflect the unique flavors in
the different varieties he sampled.  Smoke-free, pet-free home.
