Dedicated to the centenary of the legendary Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, which began operations in 1920 in Vinnitsa. Most of the classics of Ukrainian dramaturgy of the XIX-XX centuries. received the first reading of their works on the stage of the Ivan Franko Theater, where the atmosphere of a special artistic society, united by creative ideals and common purpose prevails, and the best performances turn into a feast of performing skill. Bright, lively, unique images created by talented actors, original directorial productions belong to the undisputed achievements of Ukrainian theater.
On the obverse of the coin are: the small State Emblem of Ukraine, above which the inscription semicircle UKRAINE, under the coat of arms - the year of coin minting 2020 and the face value - 5 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia; on the mirror background to the left is a portrait of Hnat Yura, to the right of which is a vertical inscription of YNAT HNAT, to the right is a portrait of Ambrose Buchma, to the left is a vertical inscription of AMVROSY / BOCHMA, who were one of the sponsors of the theater; below shows the year the theater was founded - 1920; top right - National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Mint logo.
On the reverse of the coins there is a composition stylized under the logo of the theater: in a square frame on a mirror background there is a relief image of the theater building; on a matte background - inscriptions: 100 / YEARS (under the building), NATIONAL (vertically left), ACADEMIC (top), DRAMATIC (vertically right), THEATER / NAMES IVAN / FRANKA (bottom).
